Funded by a grant from the Washington State Microenterprise Association (WSMA), the Get Your Business Online pilot project aims to increase the number of Korean owned small businesses in King County and Washington State with an online presence. OneEastside SPARK is partnering with BigHug and Restart Partners, including a team from the University of Washington’s Communication Leadership program on this community-driven project.

The project aims to empower small business owners by helping them build digital marketing skills and encouraging simple practices to maintain an up-to-date online presence. Staff and volunteers will develop in- language, step-by-step, training modules that will be delivered in-person. A series of short, in-language instructional videos will also be produced and shared publicly on YouTube.
